Children | Haley

Sessions like these make me remember why I have the best hobby in the world.  When I drove up to the park and got out of my car I could see Haley’s Mom getting her out of the car.  I see the sparkle in Haley’s eyes. She is not excited that a photographer has arrived, she is excited because she is at the park- with her Mom!  Haley makes me giggle- as I remember these sweat little moments when my kids were younger.  As another photographer has said “It is one of those moments that brings healing in an unexpected way…feeling happy,  knowing I was exactly where I was supposed to be, doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing on that day, in that moment.  God is so real, and right now in my life I am experiencing His divinely orchestrated, unmistakable blessing.” (Amy Wentzel)

This little 18month old was adorable. You have seen her on my blog before.

Bethanne - Thanks for posting these pics Angie! We are so happy with the job you did with this pictures! Can’t wait to get them in our picture frames!

Family | Boden

What a fun night- You have seen Dalton on my blog before. I took his senior pictures. They were taken during the winter (in the snow) and turned out great. Before he headed off to college his Mom wanted a family session. We waited until the last day possible- after this evening session he left for college.  It makes me sad to think that this will happen to me in 2 years.  I am not ready to send my son off to college!

Enjoy your photos Melanie.  I think they will look great on your wall.

Senior | Jami

I had so much fun with Jami and her Mom Jackie last Sunday evening.  The wind was blowing 60 miles an hour- but that did not stop us from having a wonderful time.  Jami is a very talented lady.  You can see that she has a State Championship Trophy in one of her photos.  She is a top notch volleyball and basketball player.  She comes from a family full of boys.  She has 5 brothers- and all of these are wrestlers (all of them state qualifiers). They have made her one tough cookie!  One of her older brothers dates my niece Michelle.  His name is Trevor, but my family calls him “Treasure” since we enjoy having him around.

Good luck in your senior year Jami- I hope to watch you at the State Volleyball Championship this fall!!!

Senior | Sydney

Sydney is one of most talented country girls I know. She knows all things about cattle, hogs and any other type of critter on the farm. She is sweat and nice and so beautiful- and every boy in our part of Nebraska has a secret crush on her.  (But don’t tell her daddy- because he is a little protective of her).   I love to watch her show her 4-H calves- she shows with confidence and all her animals respond to her.  And I dare you to ask her a question about them- she knows her stuff.  All the 4-H judges have found this out.  She always wins (or is in the top three)  showmanship classes.
Check out the picture of Syd in the green shirt-  Yep- that is a cute little pig tail in the background.  I know what you are thinking- she doesn’t have a pig tail in her hair.  Look closer- she is leaning on a pig- her 4-H pig.  This piggy was so well trained it just let her sit there and lean on it.  (LOVE IT!)  LOL

I had the pleasure of photographing another serious cowboy this last week.  Again my goal was to get Chantz to have fun and smile.  Another goal was to get his cowboy hat off!  That was a request from his Mom.  I met Chantz early last Saturday morning at a High School Rodeo in Oneill.  Chantz had a few other things on his mind then just taking his senior pictures- he had a steer to rope later that morning.  Plus he had around 100 teenagers teasing him about getting his senior pictures taken during the rodeo. I enjoyed the morning and did finally get that smile and hat off.

Enjoy your senior year at Wheeler Central- (My alma mater from many years ago) .
