Frequently Asked Questions
Due to my schedule I can only book 4 weddings per year. This allows me plenty of quality time planning the perfect wedding coverage for my brides. Please contact me to see if me schedule has been filled for the following year.
Do you have a photography studio?
No, I am a pharmacist by day and photographer by night. You could say I have all of outdoor Nebraska available as my studio. Although I do have studio lights and a few cool backdrops if you desire indoor portraits.
Where are you located?
Will you bring a second photographer to my wedding?
No, when I show up I may have an assistant helping me with my lights, but I will be the only photographer. The advantage is you probably have a good idea what my style is (from looking at my website) and you will be guaranteed to get images with my style. You will work with me from your first phone call all the way through your wedding day.
Will you travel?
If so, what are the additional costs for traveling?
Yes, I will travel! A travel fee of $.75 per mile each way is additional for any locations outside a 60-mile radius of Ord, Nebraska. Ask me for a better quote for out-of-state, international or destination locations.
Do you offer Albums?
Bound 13×10 table books are available custom designed by Angie. All designs are created in Photoshop. Price start at $650.00, this album is included in most all my wedding packages.
I also have parent books available in a 5×6.5 size. These start at $150.00
What types of photography do you do?
I enjoy weddings, engagement sessions, seniors and maternity. I go more for the natural look and prefer photos that are not formal.
Can we get our pictures on a CD?
Photography session will include all your images on CD or DVD. The number of images included on the CD/DVD is based on the purchased package.
Can we print the pictures from the CD?
Do we get a copyright release with our CD?
Yes, your photos are printable from the CD. I give you a photographer’s release so that you may make prints of your photos. Your images will come as large JPG files- good up to 8×10 printing. If larger images are desired they will need to be ordered from me.
Can we order our prints through you?
Yes, I own a professional lab. You can order your images direct from your online gallery link I will give you.
Can we order our prints online, or can you post them online so we can buy them and share with friends and family?
Yes, I will post your photos to my online proofing and purchasing for 90-120 days. Posting can be extended to a longer time with an additional fee. You may be given a password to access your gallery (password protection by request only).
What styles of photography do you offer?
I generally try to capture photojournalistic styles, but, I am happy to do more of one or the other if that is your preference. This is a candid style which shows true reactions and real emotions that cannot be captured in formal portraits alone.
I like the photojournalistic style, but will you also do our posed group formals?
Posed formals are a very important part of capturing your day. I am happy to include both formal and photojournalistic styles. I will also take additional wedding photos at a local park, lake, or other outdoor location, at your request. (see more information below about weddings).
Can you hold our date for us while we decide about our photography needs?
Since I work as a pharmacist during the week I have a limited amount of openings a year. My bookings are operated on a first-signed, first-served basis for both wedding dates and engagement sessions, with a deposit and signed contract securing your date.
How soon will we get our proofs?
Please allow up to 4 weeks for wedding or engagement session images. This is just an estimate and my may be longer or shorter depending on my hectic work and travel schedule).
How much time do you spend photographing our wedding day?
Coverage is available in packages of varying hours, depending on your needs and wishes for photography coverage of your day. I am very flexible to work with.
Should we do pictures before or after the wedding?
It is your wedding day it is really up to you. “Day After” sessions are just one of the latest trends in wedding photography. Long gone are the days of the formal stuffy pre-bridal sessions and worrying about getting your wedding dress dirty, now many bride & grooms are opting to shoot portraits a day, a week or even a month after their wedding in a more relaxed, fun and even sexy environment. Shooting portraits after the wedding day also affords the couple the luxury of spending every moment of their special day with wedding guests so they aren’t left wandering around at cocktail hour gazing at their watches wondering what’s going on while the bride & groom are MIA. Day After sessions are often taken in unique locations other than where the wedding ceremony was held that might have special meaning to the newlyweds such as a vineyard, an amusement park, a ballpark or perhaps the bride or groom’s hometown……the sky’s the limit with the stress of the big day being virtually gone and now the newlyweds can relax and have fun with their photographer and truly enjoy the experience. There are a variety of Day After session types including the ever-popular “Trash the Dress” session where the bride sometimes ends up in the sand or jumping into water wearing her wedding gown but if your bride spent a bit too much on her dress to even consider this option or hopes to hand it down to her daughter someday, then offer her a more casual session so even if a little dirt does end up on her gown, it can easily be cleaned and made as good as new.
What kinds of special effects do you offer?
I digitally enhance each image to best portray the moments captured. I use the program called Photoshop to do this work. Enhancements may include black and white, sepia tone, vignettes, spot color, dream effects, or color saturation, among others. I can add text, swirls ect. to images if desired.
Do you retouch our photos?
Minimal facial retouching, if necessary, is included in the editing of your images. I will edit the images that are included in your wedding album.
Will we need to provide a photo checklist for our wedding?
I would like to have a family member available to help organize the group shots and a list is always helpful.
When should we take our engagement photos?
This is, of course, really up to you, depending on how soon you need your engagement photos and what you plan to do with them. Please note, however, that our sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is limited. Because we shoot our engagement sessions outdoors, we recommend taking your engagement photos with us between May and October for the most favorable and pleasant backdrops and temperatures, but we do shoot year-round on location. Sessions are most generally available on Sundays or weeknight evenings.
