We lucked out to get a nice fall day to take Landon’s pictures. This time of year in Nebraska it is always questionable about the type of weather we may have. Landon has been busy this fall with football and swing choir and finally we got a chance to get his pictures taken. It has been fun to watch him on the field and performing on stage. Wedding | Nicole & Mark

It is always a fun day for me when I get to be the photographer for a wedding when I know both families. And Nicole and Mark’s wedding was one of those fun and special days. The day started out a little rainy but the cloudy day made for some beautiful outdoor photos. Enjoy your honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

This goblet is a family tradition. Both the groom and bride drink from it at one time. Mark’s Grandma did a wonderful job explaining the history of the goblet.

Derek | Senior

Derek wanted the bad boy look for his senior pictures. But he is far from being a bad boy. He is a cool kid and has a rough football season this year. Most recently taking a late hit and ending up getting stitches on his lower lip and neck. It was a little scary watching from the sidelines – all we could hope was that he did not have a neck injury.

I am thankful we got his pictures finished before the stitches. But I guess it would have added to his back boy look.

Ian & Suzie | Wedding

I will be leaving for a week in Australia tomorrow and have a ton of things to do before I leave. My intentions were to start editing this weekends wedding pictures after I got back home but these images pulled me to my computer today. And oh how I love them. Ian and Suzie had a beautiful wedding – filled with perfect weather, fun family, and caring friends. I am so happy I got to play around with them before I left. I hope you enjoy the few I had time to edit. The rest will wait until I get home.

I can always tell when I get a great portrait. When I look at the image on the back of my camera and zoom into the subjects eyes- I see myself. I saw myself a lot during Katie’s senior photo session. She has beautiful reflective eyes. Eyes that capture your attention. Katie will go far in this world. She told me she plans on taking up a career in health care – this is the perfect profession for this gifted young lady.

Best wished Katie – I look forward to watching you play volleyball, basketball, sing, and dance during your senior year.

When you think of Johnny – you think of the all-american talented boy. Johnny is a natural in everything he does. Public speaking, singing, dancing, playing his guitar, playing football, wrestling, throwing shot in track. He is our FFA (future farmers of America) president, he has won almost every honor you can get in FFA. He has won the supreme showmanship contest in 4-H.

He is a great role model for the younger kids in school – good luck in your senior year Johnny! Your hard work will pay off in a big way some day.

Dude – this years football team is going to ROCK! And Evan will be leading the pack. Evan will play football, basketball and run track for the Ord Chants this year. He will also be singing and dancing in the 18th street swing singer group. Yep- he is a talented kid with a bright future! I think he could also go into modeling for a career. But Evan if you want to model you are going to have to start combing your hair. LOL

Melanie is a queen, dancer, basketball player, horse lover and much more. She was our Valley County 4-H 2011 queen, and she did a wonderful job representing the kids in 4-H. I have no doubts that Melanie will excel in anything she sets out to accomplish. She is a hard working motivated young lady! And such a beautiful thing to photograph. It is to bad it got dark on us. We could have taken pictures all day long.

This is my favorite picture. I love her laugh!

Oh how they grow up fast. It seem that I took this picture only a few days ago. My two sons with their 3rd cousin – Alec. Alec is a senior this year at Southwest High in Lincoln. We just went on vacation to Cozumel with Alec and his parents. One of the best vacations we have been on – a good start to Alec’s senior year.

Alec’s mom took this picture when Alec came to visit and get his senior pictures taken. The boys have grown up!
