Music to rodeo– all in one weekend.

We had a very busy week. My 14year old son was totally exhausted by Monday. All last week the school was preparing for the biggest music production of the year. My son would go to school at 7am- get his homework done, then go to track practice, then go to music practice until around 10pm. Then come home and do more homework before he went to bed. By the end of the week he developed his trade mark lazy eye. His right eye tends to get lazy when he does not get enough sleep.  He gets this from my side of the family. I have a 1st cousin and brother that also do this.

After the Musicalia production ended on Friday night (around 10pm) we loaded up the trailer and headed out to Rapid City, SD for a Little Britches Kids Rodeo. We drove all night and arrived in Rapid around 4am. We found a hotel room and sleep until 7:30am and headed to the rodeo. The rodeo was both Saturday and Sunday. When the rodeo finished on Sunday we headed home and arrived back around midnight. Very little sleep but it was very fun for the kids.

Jet finished 1st place in the ribbon roping with his friend.  George improved his time in goat tying, and my little girl improved her time in barrel racing. Jet and George did catch the head in team roping but were not able to rope the heals. So they had a no time.

On Monday Jet had to get to school by 6:45 for weight lifting. The football coach already has them on a weight training program for next season. As you can see from Jet’s picture above- he needs a little weight training. LOL.

All the photos from Musicalia can be found here.

Angie - Hey Bump—- don’t you like their names? Von would not let me call them Jet and George. Personally I think they are cool names. LOL
