DONIPHAN — Class C-2 No. 6-rated DoniphanTrumbull
rallied from a 2-1 deficit to get past Arcadia/
Loup City 21-25, 25-13, 26-28, 25-21, 15-11 in the LouPlatte
Conference tournament quarterfinals Monday.
Makenna Niemoth totaled 21 kills for the Cardinals
(19-4). Kalee Wiltfong added 12 and Logan Poppe
finished with 11. Carsyn Poppe contributed 46 set
Doniphan-Trumbull battles C-1 No. 4 St. Paul Tuesday
in the semifinals.
Kearney Catholic def. Gibbon
KEARNEY — Class C-1 No. 1-rated Kearney Catholic
top Gibbon 25-14, 25-12, 25-20 in the Lou-Platte
Conference tournament quarterfinals Monday.
Earlier in the evening, Ellie Snell’s nine kills helped
Gibbon sweep Ravenna 25-20, 25-22, 25-20 in the
opening round. Parker Kenton added 18 set assists for
the Buffaloes.
Ord def. Centura
ORD — Class C-1 No. 10-rated Ord hit a season-high
.450 while sweeping Centura 25-9, 25-16, 25-14 Monday
in the quarterfinals of the Lou-Platte Conference
Andrea Carson led the Chanticleers (20-3) with 14
kills. Cora Svoboda (11 kills) and Cali Lech (10) also
finished in double figures while Ashley Carson amassed
39 set assists.
Ord faces No. 1 Kearney Catholic in Tuesday’s
St. Paul def. Wood River
ST. PAUL — Class C-1 No. 4-rated St. Paul swept Wood
River 25-11, 25-18, 25-19 Monday in the Lou-Platte
Conference tournament quarterfinals.
Lesley Fox recorded 14 kills and 20 digs for the
Wildcats (24-1). Hayley Fox added 10 kills, Bailey
Lukasiewicz 24 digs and Claira Thede 33 set assists.
Wood River (7-15) received eight kills from Taylor
Lambrecht and 19 set assists from Sam Luehr.
St. Paul advances to take on C-2 No. 6 DoniphanTrumbull
in Tuesday’s semifinals.
